Overview:With a modular approach to antivirus, Computer Associates has given itself a very good framework for supporting enterprise systems. It offers a myriad of components that can be configured (or not) to give you just the right amount of control.

REVIEW:Installation: 7 out of 10 eTrust?s Remote Installation Utility makes network installation simple. Installation to all or just a specific group of machines is achieved with relatively little fuss. Administration/Updating: 8 out of 10 eTrust?s Threat Management Console works with the Threat Management server and give you a Java-based system to administer your ?Threat Agents? installation, it offers centralised policy configuration which will ensure all systems are functioning correctly and are kept up-todate. Using CA-Inforeports you have a very capable report system that gives you plenty of important information at a glance. Integration: 7 out of 10 eTrust?s Threat Management Agent loads in an Internet Explorer window and offers users access to configuration options and gives the ability to run scans manually. The ?Shell? Scanner gives you the ability to scan an individual file or folder simply by using the right-click menu in Windows Explorer. Effectiveness: 8 out of 10 eTrust Antivirus solutions have received over 48 Virus Bulletin 100% awards to date, along with its string of certifications from West Coast Labs and ISCA gives eTrust high credibility. Ease of Use: 8 out of 10 The interface is clean and intuitive and little instruction is needed. Support: 7 out of 10 eTrust has great online support with their Email, Knowledge Base and FAQs page. Telephone support is available at extra cost. Value for Money: 7 out of 10 eTrust isn?t the cheapest package, but it is effective and simple to use, so all round it?s a reasonable buy.
